On a wet and muddy Saturday, both Helsby and Oldershaw Rugby Club produced an excellent game of rugby showing great resilience and skill despite the tough conditions.
Oldershaw took the early lead, starting strongly and putting Helsby under pressure. However, Helsby responded brilliantly, growing into the game and battling their way back. The teamwork paid off as they turned the game around and took the lead.
Sadly, with only a few minutes remaining, Oldershaw managed to score late on to edge the result. Man of the Match from our very own band of brothers in the mud was Jim Burrowes 💛🖤🏉
